Ideology and goals

The goal of the SO is the supposedly perfectly functioning human being created by dianetic and Scientological courses and training methods, the so-called clear.

According to Hubbard, man consists of body, mind and spirit beings. He called the spiritual being or the immortal being of man thetan. He considered the mind to be split into a reactive and an analytical part. In the reactive part, according to Hubbard, all negative painful experiences are stored as so-called engrams. These engrams supposedly keep the analytical mind responsible for problem solving from acting positively. This is how unreasonable – aberrated – action is generated. According to Hubbard’s theory, all non-Scientologists are aberrated and thus a potential danger to society.

Scientology, founded by L. Ron Hubbard, is a religion that offers an exact path that leads to a complete understanding and certainty about one’s spiritual nature, about the relationship with oneself, with the family, with groups, with humanity, with all forms of life, with the material universe, with the spiritual universe and the supreme being.

Scientology addresses the spiritual being – not just the body or the mind – and believes that man is far more than a product of his environment or his genes.

Scientology encompasses knowledge that emanates from certain fundamental truths. Priority is given to the following:

Man is an immortal spiritual being.

His experience goes far beyond a single life.

His abilities are unlimited, even if he does not realize them at the present time.

Furthermore, Scientology believes that man is basically good and that his salvation depends on himself and his fellow human beings and on achieving a fraternal relationship with the universe.

Scientology is not a dogmatic religion that requires someone to just blindly believe something. On the contrary, one discovers for himself that the basic truths of Scientology are true, and this is by applying its principles and observing or experiencing the result.

The ultimate goal of Scientology is true spiritual perfection and freedom.
