What is a Resistant

Resistance or resilience is referred to in medicine when an organism is protected, for example, from viruses or poisons. In humans, there are resistances that protect the body from infection. However, pathogens themselves can also develop resistance. For example, bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics; these agents then work less well or no longer at all against these resistant bacteria.
